Noisy Bell is not that noisy

How frikkn hard is it to make a bell that actually chimes really clearly? This fails completely to meet expectations. I have done everything to isolate it from being subued, and it's pathetic really. I bought it online because it was inconvenient to go to a bike shop just for a bell, but I've wasted my money and time going online. Pah Humbug.
